Updating your app to the latest version is important for the following reasons: Bug fixes, feature or new content releases, and applying the changes you have made in your app.
1. If the changes made are visible OUTSIDE the app such as the app name, app icon, app description, screenshots, and app pricing plans, this will require a newer version of your app.
2. If the changes are anything INSIDE the app such as updates in the landing pages, branding, courses, community, and tracking, this will not require a newer version as long as your current app version is v3.5.0 and above. The changes will apply over the air. 🚀
How to update your Android app to a newer version:
A prompt will show up when a new version is available in your app.
In the Sales Channels, click on the “Upgrade App” button of the Native App you wanted to update, then tap “Submit for Review”.
Important: Submitting for Review means submitting your app to Passion.io and isn't the final step yet. Our system will generate a new version of your app which will then be submitted to the Appstore. Please wait for 30mins to an hour for the new version to show up before proceeding to the next steps below.
