How to transfer iOS app to your own Apple Developer Account (Only for Hosted apps)

 

Important: This step is only for experts with apps that are still Hosted with Passion.io. If you joined Passion.io after April 2021 or has no iOS app yet, click here: How to Setup your Branded iOS app

1. Setup your Apple Developer Account

Access your Passion.io AppBuilder and go to your Sales Channels. Click on Start Setup. 

You will be asked to create your Apple Developer account. If you already have an Apple Developer Account, please proceed to Step 2.

To set up your Apple Developer account, you have to choose from either of the following: 

Set Up an Apple Developer Account for Sole Proprietor or Individual 

Set Up an Apple Developer Account for Organization 

Once your developer account is set up, you can continue on to the next step. 

2. Connect your Apple Developer Account to Passion.io

There are two tutorials on this next step (labeled as Step 2.1 and Step 2.2) that need to be completed. Make sure to complete the typeforms mentioned in the tutorials.

Step 2.1 Grant Access to Passion.io

Once you have completed this step, please complete this form https://bit.ly/appledeveloperinvite.

Note: Please complete the form indicated above immediately after sending an invite because we only have 24 hours to accept it. After completing the form, please proceed to step 2.2 below.

Step 2.2 Additional Information required

Note: If the boxes in the Sales Channels section are greyed out, just fill up the Typeform and we will manually update the information in the backend. 

Once you have completed this step, make sure that you have also submitted this form as mentioned in the tutorial- https://bit.ly/appledeveloperinfo

Once done with the steps above, please reach out to us through our Contact Form with the email Subject: "Transfer iOS app to developer account". 

We will initiate the transfer from the backend. You will receive an email update from us so you can continue with the step below. 

3. Accept app transfer

Once you are done with these, please let us know so we can monitor the transfer.

Please note that accepting the transfer might take up to 24 hours before the app gets fully transferred to your Apple Developer Account.
